DJ Barkley is a Harrisonburg, Virginia–based wedding and event DJ focused on thoughtful music selection, personalized celebrations, and packed dance floors that feel effortless and alive.

As far back as I can remember, music has been a constant in my life. I was raised in New York on a steady diet of hip hop, ’90s dance, and rock and roll, but it wasn’t until I moved to Virginia that I truly began to deepen my musical knowledge and cut my teeth as a DJ. I spent years hosting radio shows, DJing local clubs, and promoting parties—most notably the long-running No Requests events throughout Virginia and North Carolina. That foundation led to performing at weddings, private events, and clubs up and down the East Coast, sharing the stage with respected DJs and producers including Brenmar, Willy Joy, Sammy Bananas, Long Jawns (of Gent & Jawns), DJ Ayres, Jubilee, Apt One, Nacey, Skinny Friedman, and Clicks n Whistles.

I’ve held residencies at high-end cocktail lounges, nightclubs, ski resorts, and dive bars—experiences that shaped my ability to read a room and create the right energy for every crowd. Today, my focus is on weddings and private events in Harrisonburg and throughout Virginia, creating celebrations that reflect each couple’s taste and feel effortless from start to finish.
